Ramdoor includes the unique 'Crash-Out and Manual-Reset' facility for which Union's range of Hi-Speed Doors is famous. The purpose of this feature is to minimise bottom beam and door blade damage following impact by forklift trucks, which is an all too common a problem, resulting in down-time and excessive repair costs. |

| Control : |
Control system incorporates the essential functional components of a multi-functional door controller. Combined with an inverter, the system allows smooth starting and stopping thus reducing mechanical wear. The system allows precise adjustment of parameter settings to control the door under normal use with full safety monitoring.
Control housed in 500 mm x 500 mm x 210 mm deep IP54 rated cabinet, powder coated red, c/w Perspex diagnostic viewing window, 'Open' push button, 'Close' push button and emergency stop button. |
| Brush Damper: |
A continuous flexible brush fitted full width across the back-bar at the top, acting as a 'damper' which limits the swing of the door blade after impact as it reaches the top position. |
| Side Seals : |
The standard fixing position of Ramdoor is 200 mm inboard of the opening fixing face in order to accommodate the 'Crash-Out' facility.
2 mm thick, galvanised and powder coated side seals are fitted to full height, both sides, in order to infill the 200 mm gap created. |

A 200 mm x 100 mm (size variable according to door width) steel hollow section back-bar fitted across the full width of the door at the top, to which the brush damper is affixed. |

Two heavy duty 'windbars' included - constructed from 4" o/d aluminium tubing, with powder coat finish, mounted on face or reverse side, fitted with heavy duty 8 wheel HMH 100 end carriage assemblies which run in 3 mm rolled steel 'C' rails on either side. Upper windbar operated by integral roll mounted lifting webs. Lower windbar, which is suspended by wire ropes from the upper windbar, travels in tandem with the upper windbar but is then raised to its final resting position by 'lifters' which are fitted to the bottom beam. |
| Safety : |
Double Photo-electric Cells - One fitted on the face column and one fitted on the reverse side at low level, with reflectors on the opposite columns. IP67 rated photo-cells and reflectors protected by heavy duty steel covers. To prevent the door from closing when anything is detected beneath it, or immediately adjacent to the opening on either side.
Light Curtains - Integral within the side guides and starting 45 mm from floor level to variable heights (dependent on door opening height) to prevent the door from closing when anything is detected within the door opening. IP64 rated.
Safety Buffers - Foam filled padded buffers attached on face and reverse sides of the bottom beam, full width, in order to give additional protection for pedestrian users.
Manual Brake Release - Pull cord to release the brake level in order to raise the door with minimal manual assistance in the event of a power failure.
CE Compliance - Ramdoor complies with the essential Health and Safety requirements of the latest EC Machinery Directives. |
